SRAM

SRAM is an American corporation that has been doing bicycle components for over 25 years. Their complete pursuit of the perfect ride led them to aquire a few other big names in the cycling world:

  • RockShox - A suspension company that drove the development of mountain biking
  • Avid - Death-defying disc brakes
  • Truvativ - Bottom brackets, cranksets, and structural components for the ride of your dreams
  • Zipp - Speed freaks making the sweetest carbon composite wheels on today's market
  • Quarq - Cranksets straight from the evil laboratory

SRAM grew from one product into a worldwide line of comonents. They will always foster a culture of evolution to find what any bicycle may need to perform better. SRAM sponsors World Bicycle Relief, a non-profit poverty and disaster relief initiative that has designated over 116,000 bicycles to help people commute to work in the developing world.

"Sure, a casual rider will appreciate solid performance, reliability, dependability and all the standard qualities one would expect. But it's the riders who live and breathe bicycles who love us most because bicycles are what we love, too."
